MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

**9/15/25 ANNOUNCEMENT** Master Amateur Retriever Club has extended the grace period for membership application until September 30th due to the difficulties with online membership renewals experienced earlier this qualifying year.  Therefore, any AKC Master hunt test passes achieved March 1-September 30, 2025 will count toward eligibility for the 2026 Master Amateur Invitational to be held in Stoughton, Wisconsin in partnership with the Madison Retriever Club.

Effective October 1st AKC Master hunt test passes (past and future) will only count for eligibility if the handler has a MARC paid membership going forward. If you are not a member already please join the Master Amateur Retriever Club (MARC) and enter the 2026 Master Amateur Invitation. Double check your contact information in Entry Express to help with communication via email blast and phone texting.

How to Become a Member

1. Review the memberships in the “Membership Options” below.
2. Click on the membership button of your choice from the "Membership Options” section.
3. Fill out the registration form, submit and make your membership payment accordingly (the forms will guide you through the process).
4. PLEASE NOTE: Your membership will not be activated until you complete the registration form AND complete the payment!
5. Once the registration is submitted and your membership payment is processed, you will then become a registered MARC member and receive all of the member benefits listed, including eligibility to be invited to the annual Invitational event.

Requirements for Membership

• In good standing with AKC.
• Must be an amateur as defined by AKC rules.
• Must be active in Hunt Tests by either having:

         (a) qualified a dog in an AKC Hunt test in the previous  
               five years;  or
         (b) titled a dog in an AKC Hunt test in previous
               seven years.

• An "Associate Membership" may be purchased to support your club if you have not been active in Hunting Tests
