Open to all Retriever breeds as specified in the Qualifying Standards
This Hunting Test will be held under the rules and procedures of the AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB

WHERE: The first annual MAI will be held on private properties in the vicinity of Cairo and Thomasville, GA
WHEN: The MAI will begin on Sunday, April 23, 2017
The handlers’ meeting and welcome reception will be Saturday, April 22, 2017
Schedule: Plans are for handlers’ check-in and meeting on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 4 pm. That will be followed by a short business meeting at
5:30 pm and the Opening Party at 6:30 pm. “Birds in the air” at 8 am, April 23, 2017. Times are, of course, subject to change and additional activities are under review. The premium will list all times when published.
Duration: As stated in our by-laws the Invitational is scheduled to run in one week – Sunday to Saturday. Flights will be kept small enough to allow for a full 6 series within that time frame. Our current thought is to award ribbons and trophies to qualifiers as each flight finishes. That will allow folks who need to get moving to hit the road as soon as possible.
Master National Qualifiers: Any dog passing the 2016 MN handled by an Amateur in all series and in all qualifying tests will receive credit for 2 passes toward the 2017 MAI qualification. MNH dogs handled by an Amateur in at least 3 MN events and qualifying for those events, are qualified by rule. The pass list has been updated to include this information.
ENTRIES: Entries will be handled by Entry Express. The event is open to amateur handled dogs that have met the qualifying requirements as stipulated by the Master Amateur Retriever Club, Inc. All Qualifiers will be listed on the Qualifier List Page HERE.
