2019 MASTER AMATEUR INVITATIONAL
Event Information

Master Amateur Retriever Club
West Central Region – Butte, Montana and the Surrounding Areas
DATES: June 2-9, 2019

Open to all Retriever breeds as specified in the Qualifying Standards
This Hunting Test will be held under the rules and procedures of the AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB

WHERE: The third annual MAI will be held on private properties in the vicinity of Butte, Montana. Bob Sparks Training Grounds, managed by the Treasure State Retriever Club.  The address is 40 Sawmill Gulch Road, Elk Park, MT. 
There is no landline on the grounds. 


WHEN: The MAI will begin on Sunday, June 2, 2019 and wrap up by Sunday, June 9, 2019
​                  (Saturday June 1, 2019 will be the event meetings)


Entry Fee: $400

Duration: As stated in our By-laws the Invitational is scheduled to run in one week – Sunday to Saturday. Flights will be kept small enough to allow for a full 6 series within that time frame.  

Master National Qualifiers: Any dog passing the 2018 MN or MAI handled by an Amateur in all series and in all qualifying tests will receive credit for 2 passes toward the 2019 MAI qualification. MNH dogs handled by an Amateur in at least 3 MN events and qualifying for those events, are qualified by rule. 

ENTRIES: Entries will be handled by Entry Express. The event is open to amateur handled dogs that have met the qualifying requirements as stipulated by the Master Amateur Retriever Club, Inc. 
Entries Open: Friday, March 15, 2019
Entries Close: Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11:59 pm CT.

NOTE - When making your reservation, advise that you are with the Master Amateur Retriever Club to receive the $80/per night rate.  There are 120 rooms blocked for this event - if you don't have your rooms yet please do so by May 10th. After May 10th any remaining blocked rooms will be made available to other travelers.

    All events will be held at the Quality Inn & Suites, Butte, MT, unless otherwise advised. 
               12:00 pm - 3:00 pm DOORS OPEN for registration, and picking up handler bags.  Merchandise store opens!
        12:00 pm - 3:00 pm concurrently in the parking lot - Bitch check If your bitch is spayed, please bring proof to registration.

Scratch Policy:
Entry fee(s) for scratches will be refunded in full for a bitch in season 
prior to and during the running of the Invitational, and with appropriate veterinarian certificate for sick or injured dog or extenuating circumstances approved by the Hunt Test Committee.

Running Order:
The draw will be conducted by Entry Express. The first running 
dog number will be determined at approximately 4:30 pm, during the handlers’ meeting Saturday, June 1, 2019, the day before the Invitational starts.
