Susan (Sue) Collins
Biography
Sue Collins, a native Nevadan, was introduced to the Hunt Test world in 2007 when she and her husband, Thom, brought into their home a new golden retriever puppy, as a replacement hunting dog. From the first time Sue observed the sport at a Sierra Nevada Retriever Club Training Day, she fell in love with the sport.
Over the course of the past fourteen to fifteen years, Sue has attempted to give back to the sport by serving as a Sierra Nevada Retriever Club board member and club secretary. In addition, Sue has served as the Sierra Nevada Retriever Club Hunt Test Secretary since 2013. In 2021, Sue apprenticed as a judge at the Junior, Senior and Master Level, took the AKC Basic and Advanced Judges Seminar and has accepted both junior and senior judging assignments from fall of 2021 through spring of 2022. Sue will serve as a Master Judge in April 2022.
It is an honor to be nominated for the position of Director of the Western Region for the Master Amateur Retriever Club (MARC). I humbly accept the nomination.
If elected, I will first and foremost serve as a liaison between MARC and its members and pledge to represent the membership to the best of my ability. Additionally I will endeavor to be an active, thoughtful and a respectful member of the MARC Board of Directors and remain proactive while considering items presented and preforming required tasks.
Thank you for your consideration.
