I am honored to serve in the position of Treasurer for the MARC. I have been actively involved in the NSDTRC (USA) and MARC clubs for many years having attended numerous National and Regional events. I have served as an Event Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Member for numerous events over the last fifteen years. I have been the Treasurer for multiple National Specialties and Events, and I am an AKC licensed Judge. In my time as the Treasurer for the NSDTRC (USA) and the MARC I have completely re-engineered the Clubs’ financial reporting platforms and have created a system of reporting on an event by event, Region by Region basis – allowing the membership to truly see where the Club’s revenue and expenditures are earned and spent. I regularly work with the membership to develop better, more collaborative reporting for their events and look forward to continuing to do so.
In my professional life I am Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). I am a Director with CohnReznick and a leader in the Firm’s Government Services and Construction Industry Practices. I have over 20 years of experience specializing in providing audit, accounting, consulting and forensic services to government agencies, quasi-government agencies, government contractors and service providers, engineering firms and construction companies. I specialize in construction claims analysis for various public and non-public project owners; contract close-out audits; interim project audits; and burden, fringe & overhead rate audits for various companies and organizations including the State of Connecticut - Department of Transportation; State of Connecticut - Office of Policy and Management; State of Connecticut - Department of Construction Services; New York State Department of Transportation; Texas Department of Transportation; and the City of New York Law Department. I also have extensive experience in forensic accounting, internal controls and fraud prevention.
I am a founding officer and the current Treasurer for the CT Chapter of Professional Women in Construction ("PWC") (local non-profit organization). I served as the Chapter's Treasurer from inception of the organization in 2005 through 2013, served two terms as the Chapter's President from 2014 to 2015, and have been back in the role of Treasurer since 2016. I am also a member of the organization’s National Task Force created to establish the bylaws, financial reporting requirements, and overall governance structure of PWC at the National level. Prior to PWC, I served on the Board of Directors as both a Director and then as the Treasurer for the National Association of Women in Construction ("NAWIC").
I am looking forward to this opportunity to continue to serve the membership as Treasurer of the MARC and bridge my love for the sport, my love for my profession and my dedication to public service. .
Thank you.
